This summer we started our new shoreline wall.  The wall has been finished from the boat landing to pier #1 and really adds some nice ambiance to the shoreline along with its great protective barrier.  The wall will be extended to pier #2 sometime this fall.  Check out the pictures on our photo page!

We had a summertime visit from our resident bear in August!  This is the second year in a row that he has appeared at this time.  He appears at night, destroys the suet and finch feeders and then slinks away!  This year the destruction was witnessed by Karen who heard a suspicious noise outside.  Thinking it was a deer eating mom's new plants, she ran to the window, saw the bear on his hind legs tearing into the finch feeder and, yes, let out a very girlie shriek!  The aftermath desctruction is documented on our pictures page!

Woodland Enchantment Faerie Festival was a huge success this year, for the first 1 1/2 hrs!  Then a blustery storm with 60 mph front line winds blew into town putting a fast end to the festivities!  We had two tents get blown over but no one was hurt and everyone got out and home safely!  It would have been our best festival ever if not for Mother Nature!  Oh well, that is what connecting with the faeries is all about, spending time in the great outdoors!  Check out our link to the festival, www.tlff.info for some great pictures!
